Kathy Caprino spent 18 years in corporate life. In the beginning, she found this career path exciting and rewarding, but as Kathy approached age 40, things began to change. She felt outwardly very “successful,” but inwardly she struggled deeply… Kathy’s work began to feel false and inauthentic much of the time, and work-life balance was unattainable for her. She couldn’t speak up truthfully or be her true self. She got sick frequently, was exhausted and drained much of the time, and she didn’t feel like her work was making positive and meaningful contributions.
After a brutal layoff in the days following the events of 9/11, Kathy made a decision to reclaim her life, earning a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, becoming a therapist and eventually a “Finding Brave” expert, career and executive coach, writer, speaker, and leadership trainer dedicated to the advancement of professional women.
In this episode, I speak with Kathy Caprino about her mission and the impact she is making in the world.
